Born 1976 in Los Angeles, DEZ has a love of art that is only second to the love for his FAMILY. DEZ is a DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) product, having been raised in Northern VA. He takes his influences in his art from everything he sees and experiences. His love for graffiti came when he saw ‘Beat Street’ as a young kid. This love for graffiti was further flamed during his rides on the Red Line to Maryland in order to visit his father. With no proper schooling or disciplined lessons in art, DEZ has been ‘street schooled’ in his art. You can see a lot of the graffiti influence in his work; the over expressed details, contrasting colors, vibrant figures and exaggerated anatomy. Being a self taught artist is one of the top sources of pride for DEZ. It has made his passion and appreciation for art that much stronger. DEZ continues to devote himself to becoming the best artist possible. DEZ's art is always evolving, changing, growing, and he is never hesitant to try new mediums and surfaces. He has done everything from canvas work, walls, cars and motorcycles, airbrushing and spray cans, traditional and abstract, finally carving a niche for himself in the world of custom sneakers. 

Born 1984 over seas and moving to the States when he was 5 and has grown up within the Maryland area since. Mohammed has always been attracted to the arts of life from a young age and would find himself doodling more than he would write in class. He later graduated from the University of Maryland with his Bachelors in Fine Arts concentrating in sculpture and painting. Throughout his career, Mohammed has studied numerous forms and mediums of art from sculpting wood, clay and metal pieces, drawing and painting on canvas and paper and lately has found a new passion in airbrushing specifically on shoes. Mohammed has taken what he has learned in his past studies and applies his skills to creating what he likes to call "wearable pieces of art." He has quickly built a name for himself amongst the custom sneaker community with some of his work being worn by numerous athletes during professional games as well as clients across the nation with wild themes and ideas being brought to life on their favorite pairs of sneakers. Mohammed continues to allow his skills to evolve, priding himself on being as versatile as possible.
